DATA 310: Introduction to Data Visualization
This course introduces principles of better data visualization and is for anyone who wants to make clearer and more engaging presentations, more intuitive infographics, or more appealing designs. Students are free to pick data sets that interest them and develop visualizations using a variety of simple and more complex data visualization idioms.
Students are encouraged to sketch their ideas by hand first. Then they can create their visions using common data visualization software platforms.
Below are links to student design portfolios from past courses. Students had the choice to restrict site access to their peers at Central College or publish them more broadly. If a link does not work, that is by their choice.
